In mid-1998 a group of 10 organizations set up the Children's Network and outlined its objectives, culminating in its official registration with the Ministry of Justice as a national NGO in October 1999.
The Child Network aims to improve the impact of the activities of organizations working on behalf of children in difficult situations through:

• Coordination of efforts to carry out socio-educational programs or projects;
• Mobilization of resources to support the socio-educational activities of children,
• Public Awareness and Advocacy in relation to the rights and needs of the Child in difficult situation.
